Las Vegas News for Monday, November 28th

1. An American Airlines flight headed for Las Vegas made an emergency landing this morning. The right engine of the plane failed midair and the cause is not yet known. The flight was headed from Dallas to Las Vegas.
2. A new execution chamber built in Ely State Prison is complete but isn’t expected to be used anytime soon. Nevada currently has the death penalty by lethal injection but the supply of one of the drugs used is expired and drug companies will no longer provide the drug to states. Some legislators may bring capital punishment back on the Nevada ballot, but a vote wouldn’t happen until at least 2020.
3. An active shooter has been reported at Ohio State. The OSU Emergency Management Twitter page tweeted the alert, telling students to “run hide fight” and follow police instruction.
